Parallel Blog

I recently reported that the “little yellow house” (which is now green) seemed to have entered a new phase. I became curious enough about this that I emailed a fellow Rotarian, one of the principals of the architectural firm overseeing the renovation, to ask what was going on. I didn’t get a reply, but when I saw him at a Rotary meeting, he said one of his partners was actually in charge of the project, but the owners of the house were blogging about it. Sure enough, I found their blog, “Our Fairhope Cottage,” where you can see plenty of photos of the work in progress, beginning with the cottage (“the color of Gulden’s mustard”) as it was when they bought from its “sweet elderly owner.” Some of the interior pictures are especially amusing.

  1. Oh, I’d like one of those “grab bar/towel rack” features.
