Today, as reported in my previous post, I walked my usual route for the first time in several weeks. The penalty for walking farther afield and having adventures elsewhere is that I lose track of what’s going on in my own neighborhood. What I saw today, to my surprise, was that there is now a cleared lot, with building permit posted in the yard, where this house used to be (corner of Fels Avenue and Liberty Street):
The house had been a rental, occasionally offered for sale, but it was hard to feel that it had much potential for rehabbing, and I suppose demolition was inevitable. I will look forward to following the progress of whatever takes its place.
